Beauty Gems at Marshalls

Last week, I went to Marshalls to pick up a few home and kitchen items I needed. As always, I got distracted by the rest of the items available at the store, and, this time, ended up sucked into the beauty section. They’ve always had some pretty good stuff there at discounted prices, like Crabtree & Evelyn or The Body Shop, but in just a couple months since I last went, Marshalls went and became a treasure trove for discounted, higher-end beauty items!

I saw Sheseido, GlamGlow, and Ole Henriksen, to name a few brands. I was so tempted to sweep all of them into my cart, but in the end, I managed to limit myself to three items:

  1. My favorite Ole Henriksen Truth Serum
  2. A possible dupe for Herbivore’s Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water Hydrating Face Mist – even the packaging is similar!
  3. A Crabtree & Evelyn shower gel in Lavender, my favorite scent. The shower gel seems to be discontinued or sold out in US Crabtree & Evelyn stores, so thank goodness I found it here 🙂 A side note on Crabtree & Evelyn – please, NEVER buy at full price. There are always discounts, and if you can, pick some up at an outlet – the original price is already cheaper, and outlets almost always have additional sales.
Product Marshalls Original
Ole Henriksen Truth Serum (1 fl oz) $19.99 $48
Crabtree & Evelyn Lavender Shower Gel (16.9 fl oz) $7.99 $35.23 (£27 on the UK site)
Provence Beauty Coconut Facial Mist (8 fl oz) $5.99 $32 (for Herbivore, 4 fl oz)

I’ve always wanted to get the Herbivore facial spray because of all the good ratings (and of course, for the pretty, minimalist packaging too), but if this Provence Beauty mist ends up being a hit, I think I’ll be fine with the dupe.

These are all amazing deals, but be careful examining the packaging on these – I noticed a lot of the beauty products were opened, used, or otherwise in bad condition. If you haven’t visited a Marshalls before (if you haven’t, what have you been doing with your life?!), be prepared for the chaos you’ll find in the beauty section. It usually looks pretty ransacked, but if you’re patient, you’ll find something worth your while 🙂

What are some gems you’ve found at Marshalls?
